Violins of Hope
Strategic Partner Manager: Violins of Hope San Francisco Bay Area 2020
The Violins are a collection of string instruments played by European Jews before, during and after the Holocaust. A coalition of nearly 30 Bay Area organizations will partner with producer, Music at Kohl Mansion, in presenting an extensive array of public programs featuring the Violins in six Bay Area counties. Through a series of public concerts, the world premiere of a commissioned new chamber work by renowned composer Jake Heggie, lectures, screenings, educational programs, community gatherings and a major exhibition, a Bay Area-wide dialogue to address the causes of divisiveness and intolerance in our society will culminate in an immersive eight-week celebration of the remarkable resilience of the human spirit.
